SWIFT STAKES AT LOUISIANA DOWNS


Point Of Deception picks up another stakes victory Saturday afternoon in the Swift Stakes at Louisiana Downs.
Louisiana Downs PhotoBO0SIER CITY, LA—JANUARY 30, 2010—Javier Noel Contreras saddled Point Of Deception Saturday afternoon for a ½ length victory in the $20,000 Swift Stakes at Louisiana Downs.

Also owned by Contreras, the FEATURE MR JESS 4-year-old completed the 350 yard course in :17.588 seconds over a muddy track to earn a 101 speed index.

Adalberto Candanosa was aboard for the winning ride picking up $12,000. Point Of Deception was bred in Texas by Joe Kirk Fulton out of the Special Effort mare Daring Deception.

The 8-year-old multiple stakes warrior Wrs Special Shoe was second, earning $4,000 for own owners/breeders Williams Racing Stables, Inc. Heath Taylor saddled with Jarrod Deschamp getting the riding call.

A neck back in third was Rapid Red Perry, owned by Rene Amaro. Javier Noel Contreras was also the trainer for the 7-year-old. Edgar Baca was up on the gelding that picked up $2,200 for the effort.

Completing the field were Ridin A Easy Streak, Shoe Me Your Toole, Rf Im Leaving Easy and Vodka With Ice.
